Although the Chinati Foundation concentrates primarily on its permanent collection, one or two temporary exhibitions are organized each year to supplement and expand the historical context for the permanent collection. Temporary exhibitions typically remain on view for six to twelve month periods. In addition to the exhibitions listed below, the museum regularly exhibits work by participants in the Artist in Residence Program.
