On Saturday, October 8, the museum will host several talks as part of its Chinati Weekend festivities. These talks are open to the public and free of charge.
Made in Marfa, the annual citywide showcase of local, creative talent, will take place on Friday, October 7, 2016, as part of Chinati Weekend. Artists, shops, galleries, and other businesses will participate with open studios, live music, food and drinks, and exhibition openings. The event begins at 5:00 pm.
Everyone is invited to Chinati Weekend 2016, Friday – Sunday, October 7 - 9. Highlighting the weekend is a celebration of Chinati’s 30th Anniversary and the opening of two special exhibitions of artworks by Donald Judd.
The Chinati Foundation is pleased to present two new installations of large-scale works by Donald Judd to coincide with the museum’s 30th Anniversary.

Chinati Foundation artists in residence Matt Connors, Ricky Swallow and Lesley Vance will have an open studio on Friday, October 9, 2015, from 6:00 until 8:00 pm at the Locker Plant in downtown Marfa.
Please join us for Chinati Weekend 2015 featuring a new special exhibition of work by Charlotte Posenenske and Peter Roehr, self-guided viewing of the collection, talks, performances, the annual benefit dinner, and a special sunrise viewing. The collection, exhibitions, talks, and performances are all free of charge.
Chinati will host a full afternoon of free lectures during Chinati Weekend, focusing on its special exhibitions and upcoming projects. All talks are free and take place Saturday, October 12. Reservations are not necessary to attend.
