Holiday Hours at Chinati

Though Chinati’s collection and special exhibitions are normally accessible to the public by guided tour and self-guided viewing Wednesday through Sunday, the museum’s hours will change to accommodate the holidays in November and December.

Thanksgiving: On Thanksgiving, Thursday, November 23, the museum will be closed.  On Friday, November 24, an expanded tour schedule will be available.

Christmas: Chinati will be closed on Christmas Eve, Sunday, December 24, and Christmas, Monday, December 25.  The normal tour and open-viewing schedule will resume on Wednesday, December 27.

New Year’s: The museum will be open until 2pm on New Year’s Eve, Sunday, December 31.  11am and 11:30am selections tours will be offered, along with noon-2pm open viewings of the works in mill aluminum and Chamberlain building.   We will be closed on New Year’s Day.   Chinati will reopen to the public on Wednesday, January 3, 2017.

Chinati’s collection and special exhibitions are normally accessible to the public by guided tour and self-guided viewing Wednesday through Sunday.  Tour space is limited and subject to change based on availability. Please reserve in advance to guarantee admission online or at 432.729.4362.  Tours are free to Chinati members, children and students under age 17, and residents of Brewster, Jeff Davis and Presidio counties.
