On Saturday, August 4 and Sunday, August 5, the Chinati Foundation will present two performances of current artist in residence Richard Maxwell’s musical theater work Ode to the Man Who Kneels at 8:30 PM on the main museum grounds. The piece has been directed by Richard Maxwell and features a cast of local actors and musicians as well as Jim Fletcher, who starred in the original New York production in 2007. Richard Maxwell, playwright and director of the New York City Players, is in residence at Chinati throughout the summer.
Admission on Saturday and Sunday begins at 8:00 PM at Chinati’s front gate, 1 Cavalry Row. The gate will close at 8:30 PM, after which no latecomers will be admitted.
