HOLIDAY HOURS AT CHINATI

Chinati will be closed on Christmas Eve, Monday, December 24, and Christmas, Tuesday, December 25. The normal tour and open-viewing schedule will resume on Wednesday, December 26.

On Sunday, December 30 from 5pm – 6pm, the Chinati Foundation invites everyone to a special sunset viewing of Donald Judd’s 100 works in mill aluminum and 15 freestanding works in concrete as well as Robert Irwin’s untitled (dawn to dusk). The works will be available for self-guided viewing. The event is free to Chinati members and residents of Brewster, Jeff Davis, and Presidio Counties. General admission is $10. Please check in at Chinati’s visitor center.

The museum will be closed on New Year’s Eve, Monday, December 31 and New Year’s Day, Tuesday, January 1. Chinati will reopen to the public on Wednesday, January 2, 2019.

Chinati’s collection and special exhibitions are normally accessible to the public by guided tour and self-guided viewing Wednesday through Sunday. Tour space is limited and subject to change based on availability. Please reserve in advance to guarantee admission online or at 432.729.4362. Tours are free to Chinati members, children and students under age 17, and residents of Brewster, Jeff Davis and Presidio counties.
