Holiday Hours at Chinati

Thanksgiving: On Thanksgiving, Thursday, November 28, the museum will be closed.  On Friday, November 29, Chinati will be open during regular hours and host sunset viewing of works by Donald Judd and Robert Irwin from 5—6 PM.

Christmas: Chinati will be closed on Christmas Eve, Tuesday, December 24, and Christmas Day, Wednesday, December 25.  The normal tour and open-viewing schedule will resume on Thursday, December 26.

New Year’s: The museum will be closed on New Year’s Eve, Tuesday, December 31, and New Year’s Day Wednesday, January 1.   Chinati will reopen to the public on Thursday, January 2, 2020.

Chinati’s collection and special exhibitions are normally accessible to the public by guided tour and self-guided viewing Wednesday through Sunday.  Tour space is limited and subject to change based on availability. Please reserve in advance to guarantee admission online or at 432.729.4362.  Tours and public events are free to Chinati members, children and students under age 17, and residents of Brewster, Jeff Davis and Presidio counties.
