Autumnal Equinox Viewing

On Friday, September 20, 2024, Chinati will offer sunrise and sunset viewing of Donald Judd’s 100 untitled works in mill aluminum, 1982-1986, and 15 untitled works in concrete, 1980-1984. These special viewing hours will kick off the weekend of the autumnal equinox, which falls this year on Sunday, September 22.

We invite you to spend time with Judd’s work during dawn and dusk. Sunrise viewing will last from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m., and sunset viewing will last from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

These open hours are free to all, thanks to the generous support of James Gregory. We ask that all guests check in at the visitor center, which is located at 1 Cavalry Row.
