Ben Thorp Brown
Ben Thorp Brown lives in works in New York. He creates sculptures, prints, video installations, and performances. The video he produced while on residency at Chinati in November–December 2015 was presented at the Whitney Museum of American Art’s Dreamlands: Immersive Cinema and Art, 1905–2016.
Ben Thorp Brown received a B.A. from Williams College, an M.F.A. from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, and attended the Whitney Museum Independent Study Program. Recent exhibitions include Greater New York, MoMA PS1 (2015); 24/7 the human condition, Vienna Biennale (2015); Speculative Presence, Bischoff Projects (2014); Chance Motives, SculptureCenter (2014); and Image Employment, MoMA PS1 (2013).
