Gillian Walsh (b. 1988, New York) is an artist and choreographer from New York. Recent works include Fame Notions, Performance Space New York (2019); May, Gropius Bau, Berlin (2022); Wilderness, Danspace Project/New York City Players, New York (2023), and Friday Night Lights, Dia Chelsea, New York (2024).

Artist in Residence Gillian Walsh hosted a series free workshops and performances during her residency.

“Dance makes no sense. What are we doing? Since I was young I’ve been on a crusade to bring “dance” closer to my understanding. I see dance as a problem and a site of friction. I like to live inside the questions…I work with meditative practices, esoteric somatics, performance exercises, and, of course, “dance.” – Gillian Walsh
