The Chinati Foundation is pleased to announce drop-in Art Lab Open Studio Days this summer.  On Saturdays throughout July, Chinati’s education department will host free, introductory workshops that will provide participants of all ages the information, materials, and skills to make unique artworks. All ages welcome; young children are encouraged to attend.

Week 1, Saturday, July 11: Landscape Drawings
Week 2, Saturday, July 18: Darkroom Prints
Week 3, Saturday, July 25: Natural Dyes

Participants are encouraged to stay for as little or as long as they would like. Techniques explored include photograms, lumen prints, and natural dyes.

All materials, light snacks, and water will be provided.

Presented in collaboration with Spark! Places of Innovation, an exhibit organized by the Smithsonian Institution, exploring rural American ingenuity. On view at the Museum of the Big Bend from Friday, July 3, 2026 through August 8, 2026.
