Miyoko Ito: Heart of Hearts Book Talk

The result of several years of research, Miyoko Ito: Heart of Hearts is the first book project dedicated to the life and work of Japanese-American artist Miyoko Ito (1918–1983).

Please join Chinati for an evening of reflections with those who have found inspiration in Ito’s work, including Jordan Stein, editor of the volume and the organizer of her first two solo institutional exhibitions in nearly 40 years; Matt Connors, founder of Pre-Echo Press and a past Chinati Artist in Residence (2015); and a group of local painters: Maryam Amiryani, Felix Benton, and Magalie Guérin, whose video recording from a similar event at The Renaissance Society in Chicago will be shown.
