Nature Walk and Grass Identification Workshop
Nature Walk and Grass Identification Workshop led by Presidio County 4H Students at Chinati
Please join the Chinati Foundation and Presidio County 4H for a special program focused on nature and the West Texas landscape on Sunday, November 18, 2012. Local student members of the 4H club’s grass identification team will lead a walk on the Chinati grounds beginning at 1:00 PM.
Participants will learn techniques to identify area grasses and collect samples in and around the open field where Judd’s 15 untitled works in concrete are situated. Notebooks and pencils will be provided for organizing grass samples, taking notes, and making drawings. Visitors should wear sturdy, closed-toed shoes and are encouraged to bring a hat and other sun-protective clothing.
Everyone is welcome. The event is free for Chinati members and area students 17 and under; $5 general admission, with all admission fees benefitting Presidio County 4H Club.
