The Chinati Foundation invites you to two Open Viewings of Al río / To the River. View the exhibition for free and at your own pace on Saturday, June 7, from 9–11 a.m. during Agave Festival Marfa, and on Saturday, June 14, 9–11 a.m. during Pride Marfa.

The Chinati Foundation and Americas Society present a conversation with José Esparza Chong Cuy, Katherine Hubbard, Roberto Tejada, and Zoe Leonard in partnership with Agave Festival Marfa. This conversation, moderated by Aimé Iglesias Lukin (Director and Chief Curator, Americas Society), will address Leonard’s exhibition, Al río / To the River, and discuss the various ways the exhibition engages formally with its contexts.
A Brief History of the San Esteban Rockshelter

The Chinati Foundation and Agave Festival Marfa present a talk by Erika Blecha, an archeologist at the Center for Big Bend Studies. Blecha will examine 16,000 years of dynamic human, animal, and environmental interactions at the San Esteban Rockshelter, situated along the Alamito Creek—a tributary of the Rio Grande/Rio Bravo— located just south of Marfa.
