2015 Spring Art Classes at Chinati
Marfa’s young artists ages 4 – 13 are invited to the Chinati Foundation’s annual spring art classes, March 16 – 20, 2015. All classes are free of charge.
This spring our artists will draw up a storm! Students will build on their drawing skills using a variety of techniques, media and concepts. Older students will also be introduced to one-point perspective and drawing in the field.
Classes for students Pre-K (4yrs) – kindergarten run 9 – 11:30 AM, Monday and Tuesday, March 16 and 17. Students in grades 1 and 2 are invited in the afternoon, from 1 – 3:30 PM on March 16 and 17.
Students in 3rd and 4th grade may attend morning classes 9:00 – 11:30 AM, Thursday and Friday, March19 and 20; 5th – 8th grade classes also run the same days, 1:30 – 4:30 PM.
The public is invited to attend a reception of the students’ work from 2 – 4:00 PM on March 22.
