Sylvie Auvray: Reception at the Chamberlain Building

Sylvie Auvray, Chinati Foundation Artist in Residence for the months of February and March, created a variety of sculptural works during her time in Marfa. A selection of this work was presented at the John Chamberlain Building on a late Saturday afternoon at the conclusion of her residency. The works, which came in the form of colorful vessels and small foot-like figures, were made with the assistance of the Sul Ross University, Alpine, ceramics studio, and the H + M Auto Body operation in Marfa.
