Community Day 2011

The Chinati Foundation invites all Big Bend area residents and visitors to our annual community celebration on Sunday, May 1, 2011.

This year’s event will include a free brunch in the Arena, catered by Miniature Rooster; art-making activities for all ages; open viewing of exhibition spaces; gallery talks by Thomas Kellein, Director, and Rob Weiner, Associate Director; and a special lecture on the history of Ft. D. A. Russell by historian Lonn Taylor. All activities and events are free and open to the public, and will take place on the Chinati grounds from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
