In October 1987, Donald Judd began the tradition of Chinati Weekend (then called “Open House”) by inviting friends and collaborators to Marfa for a weekend of open viewing, special exhibitions, talks, music, and meals.

We invite you to join us for the 37th annual Chinati Weekend, October 11–13, 2024, coinciding with the opening of Zoe Leonard’s exhibition Al río / To the River. 

Saturday night’s benefit dinner provides crucial funding for our essential work: maintaining artists’ installations as they were conceived, presenting exhibitions to a broad public, hosting artists in residence, offering experiential educational activities, and organizing diverse and engaging programs that establish links to a broad range of communities.
