On Sunday, June 20, 2010 from 6:00 to 8:30 PM, the Chinati Foundation will offer an open viewing of Donald Judd’s horizontal wall works (commonly called “progressions”) and of a suite of drawings made by Judd in preparation for the 15 outdoor works in concrete installed at the museum.

The Chinati Foundation invites all Big Bend area residents and visitors to a community celebration on Sunday, May 23, 2010 from 10 AM-2 PM.

The Chinati Foundation is pleased to host an opening and reception for Artist in Residence Bill Saylor on Thursday, May 13, 2010 at the Ice Plant on East Oak Street. Everyone is invited to come by and see the show.

On Tuesday, May 4, 2010 at 6 PM, The Chinati Foundation and Marfa ISD, with support from Ballroom Marfa and Friends of the Marfa Public Library, will host a reception in honor of the release of a new collection of poems written by Marfa Jr/Sr High students.

On March 17, 2010 Chinati and the Marfa Book Co. invite you to a free screening of Me and Orson Welles, Richard Linklater's 2009 film about the young Orson Welles.

The Chinati Foundation hosts an opening and reception for Artist in Residence Steve Roden on Thursday, February 25, 2010 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the Locker Plant on East Oak Street.

Chinati announces the re-opening of Donald Judd’s Freestanding Works in Concrete, accompanied by exhibitions of Judd drawings and a selection of his “progressions.” The weekend features talks on these works; an exhibition of Judd works from the permanent collection; an exhibition by Artist in Residence Alex Schweder; and concert by Dan Deacon.

On Tuesday, September 8 at 7:30 PM, the Chinati Foundation will host a free lecture by writer Lawrence Weschler at the Crowley Theatre. Admission is free and everyone is invited to attend.

On Friday, October 10, 2008 to coincide with the opening of the Olle Baertling exhibition, the Chinati Foundation will host a special dinner to benefit the museum, open exclusively to Chinati members.
