The Chinati Foundation is pleased to host an exhibition and reception for artist in residence Jean-Baptiste Bernadet on Thursday, December 30th, 2010 at the Locker Plant.

Highlights of the weekend event, to be held October 8-10, 2010 in Marfa, Texas, include a special exhibition by Carl Andre, a benefit dinner in honor of retiring Chinati Director Marianne Stockebrand, musical and spoken word performances, and the publication of a comprehensive new history and catalogue of the museum’s permanent collection.

On Thursday, October 7, 2010 from 6:00 to 9:00 PM, The Chinati Foundation hosts an opening and reception for Artist in Residence Marc Ganzglass. The artist"s two-part exhibition, Transmission Tower Time, will occupy the Locker Plant and the Ice Plant on East Oak Street.

The Chinati Foundation invites everyone to an early morning viewing of Donald Judd’s 100 works in mill aluminum on Sunday, September 5, 2010 from 7 – 9:00 AM. Admission is free and coffee and pastries will be served.

Chinati is pleased to invite the community to an viewing and reception for Artist in Residence Ellen Altfest at the Chinati Foundation on Thursday, August 5, 2010. Altfest will show a painting called “The Leg,” created on site at Chinati and featuring a local model, Dan Keane.

Everyone is invited to a special exhibition of artwork by students in Chinati’s Summer Art Classes on Friday, July 2, 2010 from 5 – 8 PM at the Ice Plant on East Oak Street in Marfa.
