January Family Day, 2023

Join Chinati Education on Saturday, January 21, 2023, from 9am-12pm, for Family Day. This event is free to all participants.

The day will begin by viewing Claes Oldenburg and Coosje van Bruggen’s Monument to the Last Horse and Ilya Kabakov’s School No. 6. Through a guided discussion of these artworks, families will explore memory and storytelling, as well as seek meaningful connections to their own lives. Drawing inspiration from this conversation, families will then create their own sculptures using found material, such as cardboard, plastic, fabric scraps, and more.

Light snacks and water will be provided.

All ages are welcome; young children are encouraged to attend.
