Ben Thorp Brown: Open Studio at the Locker Plant
The community is invited to preview new work by Chinati Artist in Residence Ben Thorp Brown from 6:00 - 8:00 PM on New Year's Eve, December 31, at the Locker Plant in downtown Marfa.

The Chinati Foundation and the Marfa Book Company are pleased to welcome writers Lawrence Weschler and Alva Noë in conversation at the Marfa Book Company on Saturday, December 5, 2015 at 6:00 PM. The event is free and open to the public.

Adult Lap Loom Workshop-November 7-8, 10 and 11, 2015
Textile artist Suzanne Tick will lead a four-session weaving workshop for adults at the Chinati Foundation on Saturday and Sunday, November 7-8. The class takes place from 10am – 4pm each day at the museum’s on-site Art Lab. Evening classes are held the following week, from 5:30-7:30pm November 10 and November 11, 2015
Chinati Presents: Lynne Tillman
Chinati Foundation and the Marfa Book Company will host a reading by author Lynne Tillman on Saturday,November 7, 2015, 6:00 PM at the Marfa Book Company at the Lumberyard, 213 South Dean Street, Marfa, Texas.
Seeing Poetry
This fall, Chinati continued its Seeing Poetry program, which is a collaborative effort between the museum and Marfa ISD. Ninth graders, along with teachers, Chinati staff, and a professional poet, used Carl Andre's permanent Chinati installation “Words” as an entry point for writing their own poetry and silkscreening those works onto paper and t-shirts.

Please join us, Wednesday, November 4, 2015 for Seeing Poetry, an exhibition of original poetry written and screen printed by the Marfa High School freshman class. The installation will open to the public at 5:00 pm in the Arena, with a reading by the young artists at 6:00 pm. The reading will be followed by a reception from 6:30-7:30 pm in the courtyard.

Charlotte Posenenske and Peter Roehr
The Chinati Foundation’s new two-person exhibition features work by Charlotte Posenenske (1930–1985) and Peter Roehr (1944–1968). This is the first major American museum presentation devoted to these artists.
Chinati Weekend 2015: Made in Marfa
Made in Marfa, the second annual citywide showcase of local, creative talent, will take place on Friday, October 9, 2015, as part of Chinati Weekend. Artists, shops, galleries, and other businesses will participate with open studios, live music, food and drinks, and exhibition openings.
